Self-build family home in west Cornwall
Nestled in a traditional hamlet in West Cornwall, this plot of land was procured with an extant planning approval for a split level bungalow. Having been initilly approached to assist in production of construction drawings, I promoted the idea of a fresh application for a larger property that would better reflect the local vernacular. Despite a chequered past with numerous previous planning refusals, we were successful with our application.
The result is a well proportioned family home with an abundance of natural light, far reaching countryside views on all sides, and room for the family to grow. The revised design was ultimately more buildable - especially important for a self-build project.
